Courage

Courage is another attribute I’d never dare claim.

How common a trait bravery has actually ever been is hard to say. Much of histories when taken beyond the level of television or many textbooks you discover many courageous acts were often forced by self-preservation.

Involuntary bravery. Not the disinterested self-sacrifice that prompts pure admiration.

Indeed what courage I may have mustered was probably born of a fear of the shame of seeming weak.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Courage. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
