Migraine headaches & Reglan (Metoclopramide HCL)

Over the last year I’ve chronicled Charles’ battle with migraine headaches. Many an evening was spent in Durham Regional Hospital’s Emergency Room. He tried a number of medications: Neurontin sometimes did succeed in preventing the migraine if taken early enough. Likewise Midrin. All too often the failed to prevent or palliate the pain.
For the past few weeks he has been taking Reglan (Metoclopramide HCL). It has ended or at least greatly ameliorated most migraine attacks. (Posted because I’ve received so many people asking what if anything has helped Charles.)
