Money, morality & morons

Unintended economic clarity: Noticed yesterday that Duchess’ can of Alpo is taxed at North Carolina’s 2% food tax rate. McJunk products are taxed at 7%. Maybe one day fast food will be taxed in the same punitive fashion as liquor and tobacco.
Capitalist fools:: Being tardy in paying my phone bill I decided to call my payment in. After I entered my card number the telephone robot told me that my card had expired. I think I used my debit card to do this many months ago and the expiry date had since jumped forward two years. No option to enter a new date, just refusal. (I’d have paid on the web but Roadrunner was down.)
