I never knew a gay guy my or any age call himself a pansy.
Disgustingly I have affection for the usage. It appeals to the dreadful side of me that likes cuteness. A component of myself normally ruthlessly repressed.
Not that I’ve ever used pansy as a word of affection. The acrid taint of homophobia. Now, were I femme this site might well be named Pansexual Pansy.
When I see a book like this I can’t help but feel that I want to read it. But I do know better.
