The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green is a sort of gay screwball sitcom: romantic comedy would place it in too august a company.
The editing was war too choppy, like some really horrible commercial on methamphetamines. The logic seemed a bit pressed even for the land of screwball.
I felt terribly annoyed with Ethan but I think that was the point. I couldn’t say whether I was rooting for him to find true love or find true medication.
The secondary cast was really fine.
The movie seemed too good-natured and unambitious to despise.
You’ll probably like it better than I did.
