I was exchanging messages with someone who used the phrase "adult rock" to describe the work of a musican he finds worthy and innovative. I demurred, it is suggestive of what is Adult Contemporary music.

Adult Contemporary is antiseptic, unamusing, asexual. Not much more than elevator music.
