David Paul McCorkle

A couple of days ago a friend called to tell me that his sister had found my mention of his name via Google. At least the third person to find my website because I used their name. And one person came here because I'd once mention his old teacher and my beloved friend Victor. I avoid using the name of people I once knew that I would rather never hear from again.
But I've long had tender, uncomplicated affection for David Paul McCorkle who I knew in Atlanta after he moved from Albany, GA. I've wondered if this soft boy ever learned to acquire the necessary toughness to cope with life.
This entry is posted only to attract the attention of David Paul McCorkle should he or someone who knew him ever Google for his name.

Re: David Paul McCorkle from Albany, GA
Hi, my name is Chris. David and I shared his apartment(on 4th and Piedmont) for a short while while I lived in Atlanta before I moved to Miami to persue my medical career. This was in the 70s. I kept in touch with David up until I was sent a note from another friend, Mark in Atlanta(I think in 1985)that he had died after returning from Europe. I am not sure of the date as I moved to Austin, TX in 1988 and then back to FL in 1991. I would have to go through old address books to find the actual date. Chris

I visited David at that apartment many times. I can see him lounging on the bed and hear Angelique talking about nothing at great length. I have a dim image of a guy with (I think) long curly hair as his roommate. And I do remember Mark, who worked for me when I was in the escort business in Atlanta.
When I last spoke to him (about ’83) he sounded just as vulnerable as he had when I met him in ’72.
