Flaming heterosexuals fizzle out

G105 radio talk show host's "Straight is Great" publicity stunt attracted eighty marchers in Chapel Hill yesterday. They were mostly ignored. As Jessica Albrecht, one of a small handful of gay people who protested said, "Straight people don't need visibility. Every day is heterosexual pride day."

"There ain't no angry people around here. We're just sweatin' because we're all chubby and hot," Dumas said.

The radio host said he had received calls from people who didn't think the parade should take place, including a gay rights group from Washington. Dumas indicated that he didn't appreciate people telling him what to do.

"The last time I checked, I didn't tell Jews how to celebrate Hanukkah ...," Dumas said.

Organizer: Heterosexual parade meant to be positive

Earlier: North Carolina Heterosexual Pride March

Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
