Homosexuality is Shameful (I read it on a t-shirt)

Perhaps this will be followed by Jews Belong in the Oven and Blacks are Born to be Slaves t-shirts.

A San Diego County school district was sued Wednesday for allegedly violating the civil rights of a student who was suspended for wearing a T-shirt reading "Homosexuality is Shameful."

Pious young Tyler Chase Harper wore his eloquent garment during the Day of Silence when students across the US honored LGBT students. The 16 year old thinks that when I (and perhaps you) make love that it is "damaging to the practitioners and to human society in general." Sadly sodomizing as I have with as much Úlan and determination as I can I've never made a dent in this silly society.

According to the suit, on April 21 he wore a T-shirt hand-lettered with the words "I Will Not Accept What God Has Condemned" on the front and on the back it read "Homosexuality is Shameful" and "Romans 1:27," a reference to a Bible passage.

Poway High School has a standard dress code forbidding clothing that embodies hate speech, slurs, or anything inflammatory. When the youthful zealot arrived wearing the t-shirt the next day we was told it violated that policy. The voice of the Lord ringing loudly in his ears Harper refused and was suspended.

Enter Alliance Defense Fund with a fat bankroll ready to defend homophobe everywhere. They'll probably lose since high school students are understood to be in loco parentis. But it will cost the school district money that might be better spent on business of education.

Pity I have some nice Christian customers. Otherwise I could wear a Kick a Jesus Lover for Satan t-shirt.

District sued for banning anti-gay T-shirt

i totally support mr harper and his shirt. the bible says that homosexuality is an abomination and i personally would be upset if a christian DIDNT stand up for what they believe. chase harper was told to take off the shirt and leave his faith “in the car.” he was suspended for wearing the shirt which was a violation of his freedom of speech given to him in the first amendment. and about costing the school district money… they aren’t suing for money, they’re suing for rights and it isn’t costing the school that much to go to court

First of all, Freedom of Speech means and was created to mean freedom from government interference. We don’t have freedom to say whatever we want whenever we want without consequence. You can’t yell fire in a movie theater and you can’t wear a t-shirt saying “I hate my boss” at work unless you want to spend your time in jail or on the unemployment line. If we could say whatever we want whenever we wanted we would have anarchy. Which is where we are heading in this country if we don’t defend and teach the rules of engagement. The saddest part is that children like this boy are being taught that somehow what he is doing is correct. He needs a real education. And so do alot of other people in this country. We are hated for our ignorance. The rest of the civilized world doesn’t act this way. We need to grow up and get an education in what real freedom is.

First, what you practice is immoral in my opinion. However, it’s his right to display what he thinks whether its gay or straight pride. That’s the beauty of AMerica. If you don’t like it, I’m sorry.

I think the better remedy is more speech rather than less speech.

Imagine, if you will, several students wearing a T-Shirt with a quote from one of the fathers of the American (and, for that matter, of the French) Revolution, Thomas Paine:

“All our ideas of the justice and goodness of God revolt at the impious cruelty of the Bible. It is not a God, just and good, but a devil, under the name of God, that the Bible describes.”
